Bengaluru violence: Part 144 prolonged in DJ Halli, KG Halli police station limits until 6am on August 15 | Bengaluru Information

BENGALURU: Part 144 of Code of Prison Process (CrPC) has been prolonged in areas beneath DJ Halli and KG Halli police station limits until 6am on August 15. Part 144, which prohibits the gathering of 4 or extra individuals at a spot, had been imposed in all the metropolis on Wednesday after violence broke out in some elements of town over a derogatory social media put up.
Bengaluru Commissioner of Police Kamal Pant had on Wednesday introduced that the imposition of Part 144 of CrPC in areas beneath DJ Halli and KG Halli police station limits has been prolonged until 6am on August 15.

FIR has been filed in opposition to 17 most important accused in violence that befell on August 11.

Earlier on Wednesday, Karnataka residence minister Basavaraj Bommai stated {that a} district Justice of the Peace will maintain an inquiry into Tuesday’s violence in Bengaluru and stated to date 146 individuals have been arrested.

The arrested individuals have been accused of arson, stone-pelting and assault on the police. The police stated that accused Naveen has been arrested allegedly for posting “derogatory” materials on social media.
Residence of Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivasamurthy was additionally attacked after the violence broke out.
