A postgraduate pupil of Jawaharlal Nehru College (JNU) was allegedly assaulted on Wednesday by one other group of scholars inside his hostel room.

Vivek Kumar, an activist of All India College students’ Affiliation (AISA), stated the incident happened late Wednesday night time when he was inside his room. He stated he was attacked by pupil members of the ABVP who accused him of submitting complaints towards them on the safety and the hostel warden’s workplace.
“One particular person stated I had filed a criticism towards him for coming back from dwelling. I informed him that I had not filed any such criticism and didn’t know something about it. He then abused and punched me and repeatedly hit me on my head. They threatened me. My buddy, who tried to rescue me, was additionally assaulted,” he stated.
AISA nationwide president N Sai Balaji shared a video on Twitter of Kumar narrating the incident. Balaji stated they’ve filed a police criticism.
In the meantime, the ABVP has denied the allegations. Sujeet Sharma, a JNU pupil and ABVP Delhi govt member, stated, “We bought to know in regards to the incident by way of social media. These are baseless allegations and ABVP has nothing to do with the incident.”
