Affected person’s kin threatens physician in Mumbai for asking her to put on masks – mumbai information

DB Marg police on Wednesday booked a lady for allegedly abusing and threatening a Grant Highway nursing residence physician who requested her to put on a masks on the well being facility and to not crowd within the affected person’s room. The police haven’t arrested the lady but.

The complainant, Dr Kavita Tilwani, 48, is a Malabar Hill resident and runs the SP Nursing Dwelling alongside along with her brother. In her criticism to the police, Dr Tilwani mentioned on Monday, an eight-month pregnant affected person was admitted on the nursing residence for pregnancy-related issues and the subsequent day.

On Wednesday, whereas the affected person was in her room, round 20-22 of her kinfolk visited the nursing residence to see her. A few of them weren’t carrying masks, said the police criticism.

When Dr Tilwani visited the room for the affected person’s check-up, she noticed that the affected person’s kinfolk have been crowding the place, whilst three girls sat on the affected person’s mattress.

When Dr Tilwani raised objections over it and requested them to put on masks and depart the affected person’s room, a lady sitting on the affected person’s mattress – Nafisa Abbas Lakdawala – began abusing her and likewise threatened to assault her, which led to an argument between the physician and the affected person’s kinfolk. Quickly, the opposite employees members of the nursing residence intervened, after which the affected person’s kinfolk left the room.

Dr Tilwani complained concerning the incident to DB Marg police station, following which a case was registered beneath part 4 of the Maharashtra Medicare Service Individuals and Medicare Service Establishments (Prevention of Violence and Harm or Loss to Property) Act, 2010, towards Lakdawala.
