The 2 accused arrested by the Narcotics Management Bureau (NCB), which is probing the medicine angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise case, have retracted their statements given to the company, officers stated.
The NCB had claimed that Zaid Vilatra and Abdul Basit Parihar, residents of Bandra in Mumbai, provided marijuana to Rajput’s home supervisor Samuel Miranda and home assist Dipesh Sawant.
The company had arrested Showik, the brother of prime accused Rhea Chakraborty, based mostly on the statements of those two accused. Each Vilatra and Parihar have claimed that their statements have been forcefully recorded by NCB officers.
The NCB had claimed that Parihar, the alleged drug peddler, had advised them that he procured medicine from Vilatra and Ebrahim, on Showik’s directions. In the meantime, Rhea Chakraborty was questioned once more by the NCB on Monday. She reached the company’s workplace in South Mumbai at 9.30 am on Monday.
Chakraborty was questioned for almost six hours on Sunday.
