The Centre has included 20 extra sports activities disciplines like tug-of-war, mallakhamb and para-sports amongst others for direct recruitment of meritorious sportspersons in Group C degree authorities posts, the Personnel Ministry mentioned in an order issued on Tuesday.

The transfer comes following a proposal from the Division of Sports activities for inclusion of some extra disciplines within the checklist of 43 sports activities for recruitment of sportspersons to any Group C submit in ministries/departments of presidency of India.
