Should Virat Kohli be arrested? Chennai Advocate Filed petition in Madras High Court

Chennai: A petition has been field in the Madras High Court looking for arrest of Indian cricket team’s captain Virat Kohli and, actress Tamannah Bhatia for promoting online gambling.

The petition has been filed by an advocate based out of Chennai who also wants the betting applications to be banned, claims teenagers are getting addicted on them, Times Now wrote about Friday. He further expressed that through popular figures like Kohli and Tamannah, the advertisers of such sites and applications are brainwashing teenagers.

In his appeal, the advocate refered to the instance of a youngster who died by suicide after failing to repay the debt accumulated because of betting.

The case will be heard on August 4 (Tuesday).
