Saudi-led coalition downs Houthi missile fired in direction of Najran, says Saudi state media

The missile was headed within the path of town of Najran when it was shot down, Saudi tv mentioned.

The Saudi-led coalition on Thursday night intercepted a missile and an explosive-laden drone launched by Yemen’s Houthi group in direction of the dominion’s southern area near the Yemeni border, Saudi state TV reported on Friday.

Yemen has been locked in battle since 2014 when the Iran-aligned Houthis seized Sanaa, the capital, after which a lot of the nation’s north. Preventing escalated in March 2015 when the Saudi-led coalition intervened to revive the federal government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
